Selection for the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists is based on a rigorous process that combines independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Attorneys are evaluated based on 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, including experience, representative clients, verdicts and settlements, honors and awards, professional activity, scholarly work, and community service. Each year, no more than 5% of attorneys in each state are selected to the Super Lawyers list, while no more than 2.5% are selected as Rising Stars.
