Michael focuses his practice on complex litigation, representing clients in commercial litigation matters and defending healthcare providers and organizations in malpractice and other professional liability matters. In addition, Michael has significant experience advising clients in negotiations with municipal and state agencies to secure economic incentives for Opportunity Zone real estate development, helping clients maximize financial benefits while supporting community growth.  

Michael previously served a federal court-appointed monitor overseeing compliance with court orders in a longstanding class action suit regarding conditions of confinement in California state prisons.
Earlier in his career, he served as a registered lobbyist and represented a wide range of business organizations and nonprofits before the Rhode Island General Assembly.

Known for his analytical rigor, strategic insight and clear writing, Michael combines legal, business and policy expertise to help clients manage complex legal and governmental matters effectively.
