Trusted Advisor. Proven Advocate.
Leah is a business lawyer and experienced litigator who brings a distinctive perspective to complex legal matters. Drawing on experience in private practice, in-house counsel at a Fortune Global 500 company, and institutional leadership at a major public university, Leah understands the legal, operational, financial, strategic, and reputational considerations that inform sophisticated business decisions.

Leah approaches legal matters with an understanding that effective legal advice requires more than identifying the legal issue. It requires a clear assessment of risk, practical options, and how legal considerations intersect with an organization’s broader objectives. Her litigation experience further informs this approach, enabling her to anticipate how business decisions, contractual terms, and legal positions may be tested if a matter develops into a dispute.

Leah advises executives, business leaders, and institutional clients on corporate and commercial matters, including technology and SaaS agreements, governance, data privacy and cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and business disputes. She helps clients evaluate risk, understand their options, and make informed decisions aligned with their broader objectives.

Before joining the firm, Leah served as Associate General Counsel at Rhode Island’s public flagship university, advising executive leadership and academic and administrative departments on complex legal, regulatory, and risk matters. Her work spanned contracting, procurement, governance, employment, healthcare, technology and data privacy, including artificial intelligence, and NCAA and college-sports matters, including NIL and revenue sharing. She regularly counseled institutional leaders on matters requiring legal requirements to be balanced with operational realities, financial considerations, and institutional priorities.

Previously, Leah served as Senior Legal Counsel on the North America legal team of a Fortune Global 500 energy management company, advising business units and executive leadership on commercial and operational matters. Her experience included commercial transactions, supply chain and procurement, including construction projects, SaaS and technology agreements, cybersecurity and data privacy, and managing pre-litigation and commercial disputes. In addition to advising on day-to-day legal matters and complex transactions, Leah helped strengthen the company’s legal operations through technology and process initiatives designed to improve efficiency, consistency, and risk management.

Earlier in her career, Leah practiced civil and commercial litigation at a Providence-based law firm, representing clients in state and federal courts across a broad range of complex disputes, including commercial, insolvency, regulatory, and real estate matters. She handled matters from inception through resolution, developing litigation strategies, advocating in court, negotiating settlements, and drafting and arguing appeals.
