PROVIDENCE (April 12 2011) – The firm recently sponsored the Manton Avenue Project’s production of original plays written and produced by school age children in the group.
The Manton Avenue Project creates original theater by teaming children from the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence with adult theater artists. The recent production – Reduce! Reuse! Recycle! – featured mini-plays written by the children about environmentally responsible actions and decisions. A mixture of children and adult actors participated in the production.
“We are pleased to continue our support of the Project,” said associate Elizabeth R. Merritt, who serves as secretary for the group. “We laud its main goal, which is to use the arts to help children freely express themselves and to experience success, which are valuable early lessons to build confidence.”
