PROVIDENCE (July 2, 2014) — The Segue Institute for Learning recently honored Matt Plain as one its Mortar Board Awards recipients for 2014.
The charter school, which serves middle school students in Central Falls, R.I., presents the award annually to individuals who support the school and advocate on its behalf.
“These individuals offer their support to our school,” said Ann Manocchio, Segue’s Director of Finance and Operations. “They fight for Segue in circles where it may not popular to do so. They are our champions outside of school.”
Plain devotes a considerable portion of his practice to advising school boards, administrators and teachers on a myriad of education law issues, including special education, employment, student/staff discipline, government relations, and constitutional law. He regularly presents seminars to educators on a variety of school-related issues.
