Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society

PROVIDENCE (Feb. 24, 2014) – The Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society recently published an article by Robert C. Shindell and Sara E. Sweeney analyzing the ramifications of adding a dentist to a dental practice.

In the article, Shindell and Sweeney address how the law distinguishes between an employee and an independent contractor, and also analyze the tax, insurance, and potential malpractice liability consequences of this distinction.

Shindell, a partner in the firm’s Providence office, advises and defends professionals, and concentrates on insurance coverage matters. Sweeney is an associate in the firm’s Providence office, concentrating her practice on dental and medical malpractice, general professional liability defense, and employment law.
