PROVIDENCE (June 10, 2011) – The firm has been named as the number one best place to work in the small company category as part of the Providence Business News’ annual Best Places to Work competition.
This marks the fourth consecutive year the firm has been recognized in the Best Places competition. It has steadily risen in the rankings each year, culminating with the number one ranking this year.
The business publication unveiled the ranking at its Best Places to Work gala event held June 9 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, R.I. Over 500 people attended the lively celebration honoring the 40 companies named as top places to work.
The Providence Business News ranked companies in three categories depending on the number of individuals they employ in Rhode Island. Fourteen companies were honored in the small company category, which encompassed businesses with 15-to-49 employees.
Organizations were judged on responses to both an extensive management report and an employee survey. The resulting data were compiled by Best Companies, an independent research organization based in Harrisburg, Pa., which then chose the winners.
“Our attorneys, administrators, assistants and paralegals are the best in the business, but this really starts with our clients – the shared commitment to the clients is what binds the people of the firm together, fires us up and allows us to have some fun, even while we are working our tails off to get the job done,” said Providence Partner Frank Connor.
