PROVIDENCE (March 27, 2013) – The firm is co-sponsoring the 2nd Annual Auction and Awards Reception for the Urban Collaborative Acceleration Program (UCAP), a Providence-based alternative public middle school.
The event is entitled Under Construction: Advancing Possibilities, and is scheduled for April 18 from 5-7 p.m. at the school. The program – in support of the construction of a new annex to the existing school – will include a cocktail reception, as well as silent and live auctions for such items as an African safari, a summer getaway to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees tickets.
A Service for All Kids Award will be presented to Andrea Joseph for her dedication to fund development and supporting youth programs across Rhode Island. UCAP will also honor the Rhode Island Foundation for its philanthropic leadership and ongoing support of Rhode Island youth.
“This promises to be an enjoyable, worthwhile evening. The new annex will only expand the curriculum and possibilities for UCAP students,” said Matt Plain, who is chairing the event committee and will act as reception emcee. He is a member of the Fund for UCAP board of directors.
