Firm changes name to Barton Gilman LLP

BOSTON/PROVIDENCE (June 3, 2013) – Taylor Duane Barton & Gilman LLP has shortened its name to Barton Gilman LLP.

The name change reflects the firm’s focus on providing streamlined, precise legal services to its clients. While the name of the firm is new, Barton Gilman continues to operate offices in Boston and Providence, and to serve clients in civil litigation, insurance coverage and other core practice areas.

Barton Gilman will maintain its longstanding business model that is unique in the legal profession: Clients are clients of the firm, not individual attorneys. This structure means that clients work with the partners and associates best-suited to handle their cases, and are not necessarily tied to an attorney who originated the business relationship.

“Our new name will strengthen the power of our brand recognition. We will continue to build on our three decades of hard work, excellence, and assisting clients achieve their legal and business goals and objectives,” said Steve Adams, a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Added Sheri Pizzi, also a member of the executive committee: “The same core values of our founding partners animate all that we do, with client service being our top priority at all times. Collaboration among our attorneys and with clients also remains paramount.”
