Firm and Braver team up to help Providence Food Bank

PROVIDENCE (Dec. 10, 2012) – Lawyers from the firm recently joined with female professionals from Braver PC to help sort food at the Providence Food Bank.

Firm attorneys who donated their time and efforts for an afternoon were Sara Sweeney, Elizabeth Merritt and Kristin Whittle. Professionals participating from Braver were Debra Mitchell, Elaine Oliver, Olga Makovetskaya, Helena Venda, and Mila Barsegov. Braver PC provides accounting, assurance, business and tax consulting services to its clients.

The Providence Food Bank, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, provides food to local agencies across the state of Rhode Island. Last year alone it distributed 9.7 million pounds of food.

“We were pleased to work with Braver in contributing our time to helping the Food Bank, which provides a vital service to citizens of Rhode Island,” said Merritt, lead organizer of the charity event.
