Defense litigator with 100-plus jury verdicts to his credit featured in latest installment of Lunch With Legends

PROVIDENCE (Nov. 20,  2013) – The most recent installment of the Lunch With Legendsarticle series by Matt Plain and Elizabeth Merritt was recently published in the Nov./Dec. 2013 issue of the Rhode Island Bar Journal, featuring David Carroll, a 50-year veteran defense attorney with over 100 jury verdicts to his credit.

Carrol, a partner at Roberts Carroll Feldstein & Pierce, focuses his practice on professional liability defense. He attributes his extraordinary success as a trial lawyer to always focusing on his client: “I concentrate on the fact that the trial is not about me, the trial is about my client. My job is to make sure that the jury says the client was the best person in the courtroom.”

Lunch With Legends is published each issue by the Rhode Island Bar Journal. The series explores the fundamental beliefs and foundational habits of successful and longstanding Rhode Island lawyers. Over lunch, the legends share with Plain and Merritt their war stories, lessons learned, memorable moments, and inventive and creative legal arguments and strategies.
