BOSTON (Nov. 4, 2013) – Barton Gilman LLP was recently selected to the 2014 Best Law Firms rankings in two practice areas – medical malpractice defense and personal injury defense.
Firms included in the rankings, compiled by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers, are recognized for professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. The firm achieved a Tier Three ranking for the Boston metropolitan area.
Achieving a tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.
The 2014 Best Law Firms rankings are distributed nationally to leading general counsel and other corporate executives.
To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the U.S. Pamela S. Gilman and Francis A. Connor III have been chosen for the Best Lawyers directory for three consecutive years (2012–2014), and Andrew R. Weiner has been selected two consecutive years (2013–2014).
The 2014 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record. Over 12,000 attorneys provided over 330,000 law firm assessments, and almost 7,000 clients provided close to 20,000 evaluations. Awards were given in 74 national practice areas and 120 metropolitan practice areas.
“We are pleased to receive this recognition by our peers,” said Gilman, who focuses her practice primarily on defending medical professionals in malpractice cases. “We strive to provide the highest quality service to help clients address their legal and business concerns. Being selected to Best Law Firms reflects the hard work and professionalism of our entire team of attorneys and staff.”
