BOSTON (June 12, 2017) – Edward D. Shoulkin was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
The Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (MassDLA) is a voluntary association of trial lawyers who defend corporations, individuals and insurance companies in civil lawsuits. The purpose of the MassDLA is to improve professional standards, the administration of justice, and legal education, and to promote collegiality and civility among all members of the bar. Although the organization is based in Massachusetts, members conduct business and serve clients throughout the United States and abroad.
Shoulkin is a skilled trial and appellate attorney with 25 years of experience representing multinational corporations, small businesses and individuals in business disputes, construction litigation, product liability cases, premises liability actions, liquor liability claims, environmental litigation, and insurance coverage matters. He has particular expertise in defending professionals in civil disputes and disciplinary proceedings, including accountants, real estate brokers, health care providers, insurance agents, attorneys, property managers, home inspectors, and other professionals. In addition to his involvement with MassDLA, Shoulkin is a founding member and serves on the Board of Directors of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
Since 2005, Shoulkin has received a Martindale-Hubbell National Law Directory AV rating, the highest rating available for legal ability and ethical standards. He has been a Massachusetts Super Lawyer since 2013.
“It’s an honor to be a member of the MassDLA board, and to help serve the trial law community in its efforts towards greater advancement, achievement, and collaboration,” said Shoulkin.
