Employment Law Blog: Massachusetts Legislature Passes Non-Compete Reform Bill

After nearly a decade of debate, the Massachusetts legislature passed a non-compete and trade secrets reform bill in the final hours of the 2018 session. If Governor Baker signs the bill into law, which is anticipated on August 10, 2018, Massachusetts employers will need to carefully review and revise their existing non-competition agreements and hiring practices to ensure compliance with the law by October 1, 2018.
